On April 20, 2009, Glenn Beck writes in his Newsletter that it was embarrassing enough when Fidel Castro expressed his love for President Obama, but Hugo Chavez took the humiliation to a whole new level with the naive President of the barely free world.
Over the weekend, Hugo Chavez approached President Obama during the Summit of the Americas and presented him with “Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent,” written by Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano, a 1970s’s leftist manifesto.
With all eyes focused on Obama, Hugo Chavez gave Obama Galeano’s book and Obama accepted the ‘gift’ with a smile, holding it up for the cameras. Due to such publicity, that anti-American book is now #2 on Amazon. “Way to go, Barry, you literally are a tool,” said Glenn Beck.
Barack Obama’s overuse of speech-assisting devices for public speaking engagement has caused some to dub him “The Teleprompter President”, writes, The Times Online.
The latest Obama teleprompter gaffe came on March 11, when Irish Taoiseach Brian Cowan was greeted at the White House in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Cowan took the podium to read his speech right after Obama, only to read the speech Obama just gave as it was still on the teleprompter. It was nearly 30 seconds until Cowan realized the speech he was reading was one he had just heard.
“That’s your speech!,” Cowan remarked, look back at Obama. “Why don’t these things work for me? Who said
these things were idiot-proof?”
Obama rushed to the podium and fixed the problem with a full White House press laughing at the red-faced
Cowan. At that point the speech had flipped over to the new one. Reading from the teleprompter, Obama began reading aloud, inadvertently thanking himself for inviting everyone, to further laughter. “First, I’d like to say thank you to President Obama!” Obama said…

The textbook-sized panes of glass holding the president’s prepared remarks follow him wherever he speaks. Resting on top of a tall, narrow pole, they flank his podium during speeches in the White House’s stately parlors. They stood next to him on the floor of a manufacturing plant in Indiana as he pitched his economic stimulus plan. They traveled to the Department of Transportation this week and were in the Capitol Rotunda last month when he paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln in six-minute prepared remarks.
Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small. College student Julio Osegueda TOO enthusiastically asked the final question of the at President Barack Obama’s Fort Myers town hall on Feb 10th, 2009.
“It’s such a blessing to see you Mr. President, thank you for taking time out of your day!” Osegueda shouted. “Oh, gracious God, thank you so much!”
Osegueda, a 19-year-old student at Edison State College and a four-year employee at McDonald’s, asked Obama a question about employee benefits.
Obama graciously answered the question while many in the crowd laughed…

BECK: Now, those capitalists will say that the mother country shouldn’t decide anyone’s salary, only because, you know those capitalists will say they shouldn’t have been bailed out in the first place. But what would you expect a capitalist to say?
Also in the news today, our workers are uniting. They’re in the nation’s capital to improve the life of you. The average worker with a union card check. That way, you can unionize everything. Now again, the capitalists will say, “Oh, gee, that’s wrong, because secret ballots are part of the American way of life.” Of course, they would say that! But I remind you, what do they know about their way of life?
Good heavens! What? Could we stop the music? What the heck is happening to us? I’m watching — I’m listening to the president just a few minutes ago, and I’m like — you got to be kidding me, right? I mean, this is just the first step. Oh, good. Well, let’s not even debate it; let’s just rush it in on an emergency.
Tonight — I’m going to tie some of these things together — how the government is moving to nationalize our banks. Does that sound like a good idea to anybody? We’re setting salary caps for bailed-out company executives, and let me tell you something — this one I’m actually for. But wait until you hear me explain it.
The dangers of the union card check tonight. The move towards universal healthcare, insuring the SCHIPs to insure kids — kids, by the way, now defined by our government as people who are 30 years old. If that’s my kid, get the hell out of my house.

BECK: You might say, “Oh, Glenn, that’s crazy talk, they’re still our children.” No, they’re not! You live in my house and you need my insurance, get the hell out of my house and get a job, deadbeat! But maybe that’s just me.
I’m going to show you how all of these things — Aaron (ph), I just love you. I wanted to show you how these things are happening today and they line up with some of the goings-on in history’s worst socialist- fascist countries. When did socialism become a happy thing for us? These people may not be taking us on the same road that fascist dictators took the rest of the world on a long time ago, but they’re using the same tactics and the same propaganda.
Our very country is at stake when people use emergencies to quickly shove down programs down our throats without any discussion. But why would I — why would I expect otherwise? After all, isn’t it global warming? They all say, “Oh, the discussion is over, you flat-earther, you holocaust denier.”
Marvelously stated; why aren’t we getting a similar sentiment from most media outlets?
Sadly, the only answer is that socialism IS a happy thing for them.
